1. Check what is using C drive space
Open Settings → System → Storage and wait for Windows to calculate categories. Compare installed apps, temporary files, documents, pictures and other storage. This first check tells you whether the problem is one large category or many smaller files.
If Windows categories are too broad, use a disk space analyzer or large-file scanner to find the largest folders. A scanner should support investigation, not automatic deletion: confirm the owner and purpose of every large result.
